“ my bf is a steak person and I did not see him that happy about food in a long time! Absolutely amazing. Oysters perfectly flavored, onion soup - omg amazing, no words for smoke ribs. Absolutely be back for sure! Oh and wait - waiter Mark - super nice and friendly! ”
“ Angie, the supervisor, is simply the best! She is so welcoming, thoughtful and helpful. Also thanks to our server Evan to clarify a few questions and being so attentive. We came to enjoy a dinner and taste some appetizers/desserts for an upcoming wedding reception. The 10oz Prime Rib is such a big portion, and so many great options for appetizers, lobster bisque, crab cake, onion soup, shrimp cocktail, etc. hard to just pick one. In terms of dessert, I personally love the dark chocolate souffle the most, but this won’t be served for private party with 20. Don’t forget to join the Lawry’s VIP, which can redeem the spending points to cash rewards. ”
“ Trinity created a delicious charcuterie board for us to start with, followed by a signature Crown salad, pretzel, and lobster bisque. Our friend had the prime rib and I had the prime rib sandwich (California style) with chips. My wife had an interesting entree I never did figure out. Our server, Evan (?), was incredible, the staff were all very polite, including Anthony who kept our table looking great. Overall an incredible experience. We'll definitely be back again! ”
“ If you love a good prime rib then come here! Had dinner reservations and came early to have a drink at the bar which is on the pub side. Classic English pub style feel, great drinks and fun friendly bartenders, Andrew and Mike. Dining experience was fantastic with Patty as our server. Very excited to tell us about the restaurant as it was our first time there. Quick service and all food was delicious. Look forward to going back. ”

From the moment we arrived, the restaurant's dreamy atmosphere enchanted us. The holiday decorations complemented the restaurant's charming English-style setting perfectly. What made the evening even more special was the lovely pianist, Caroline, whose elegant music created the perfect backdrop for our family celebration. The service was impeccable - attentive without being intrusive, knowledgeable about the menu, and genuinely warm. Every staff member seemed committed to making our experience memorable. As for the food - absolutely exquisite! Each dish was prepared with obvious care and expertise. The prime rib was cooked to perfection, and the seasonal sides highlighted the best winter flavors. Five Crowns provided us with not just a meal, but a night to remember. If you're looking for a special place for a holiday gathering or any celebration, I couldn't recommend it more highly. “ This is the venue/restaurant I recommend to wedding clients who want to enjoy their special day in a more intimate setting. The food and service are both remarkable. The different available spaces are stunning and full of character. I love the red accents! Valet parking across the street is helpful, especially in such a busy area. All around, Five Crowns is an excellent choice to celebrate weddings and events! Tip: Botanica Floral across PCH offers gorgeous arrangements should you need a florist for your celebration. ”
“ On our most recent trip to Newport this was my favorite meal. I was surprised to see some more contemporary menu items. Dry aged fish, roasted sunchokes with hazelnuts, the type of stuff you'd expect to see at a spot aspiring for a James Beard nomination. I might try that stuff one day but let's be real, I go to places like these for the prime rib. And on our visit it was probably the best I've ever had out of any restaurant, Lawry's or otherwise. Service, decor, and food all on point. Very corkage friendly at 25. This is the type of place I want to come back to again and again. ”
